How can we help?

The most common questions are answered below. Still stuck? Email support@blipsmith.ai and a person will get back to you.

Getting started

Can I try it without an account?+

Yes. Describe a sound on the homepage and press Generate: your first sound each day is free, no sign-up needed. To download it, create a free account (no card). It's saved to your library. To make more, start the free trial.

How does the free trial work?+

Choose Indie or Studio and add a card at checkout. The first 30 days are free and include 40 sounds on Indie or 50 on Studio. Unless you cancel, the plan starts when the trial ends and your card is charged ($9.99/month for Indie, $19.99/month for Studio). Cancel any time before then in Plan & credits → Manage billing and you pay nothing. There's one free trial per person and per card.

How do I get good results?+

Describe one sound the way you'd brief a sound designer: the source and material, the action, and the space. For example “heavy wooden door creaking open slowly, close-miked, dry” or “8-bit coin pickup, bright”. Mention a length if it matters, and turn on Loop for ambiences and engine hums. Ask for several variations of sounds that repeat, like footsteps and hits.

A sound didn't come out the way I wanted. What can I do?+

Try again with a more specific prompt: name the material, the size and the distance, and say what to leave out. Rate sounds with 👍 or 👎, which helps us improve. If a sound fails to generate, its credit comes back automatically.

Credits & billing

What does a credit buy?+

One sound. Every sound you generate costs 1 credit, whatever it is, so asking for 4 variations uses 4 credits. Round-robin variations of a sound you already made (the shuffle button) are free, within a daily fair-use limit.

When do credits arrive, and do they expire?+

Your plan's credits arrive every month once that month's payment goes through: 160 on Indie, 400 on Studio. Unused monthly credits roll over for one more month. Trial credits end with the trial, and credit packs never expire. Plan & credits shows each batch and when it expires.

Can I buy more credits?+

Yes. Once your trial or plan has started, Plan & credits sells credit packs: 100 credits for $8, 400 for $25, 1,200 for $70.

How do I change or cancel my plan?+

In the studio, open Plan & credits → Manage billing. Switching plans takes effect right away, with the price difference prorated. Canceling stops the next renewal, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. Sounds you already made stay licensed.

Can I get a refund?+

Subscription payments aren't refundable for partial periods, except where the law requires it (see the Terms). If you were charged by mistake or something isn't working, email us and we'll look into it. Cancel during the free trial and you're never charged.

What will I see on my card statement and receipts?+

Charges appear as BLIPSMITH, or as LINK.COM* BLIPSMITH when they're processed through Link, Stripe's checkout. Receipts and invoices are emailed after each payment, and past invoices are in Plan & credits → Manage billing.

Your sounds

Can I use the sounds in commercial projects?+

Yes. Everything you make on a plan or trial is royalty-free for commercial use in games, apps, trailers, streams and videos, and the license stays valid after you cancel. See the license for the details.

Which formats can I download?+

WAV, which works in Unity, Unreal, Godot, GameMaker, FMOD, Wwise and Web Audio. Masters are 48 kHz / 24-bit, and the download menu also offers 16-bit at 48 or 44.1 kHz and small 22 kHz mono files. Loops come with loop points, and positional sounds are mono so your engine can place them in 3D.

Where are my sounds, and can I delete them?+

Every sound is in your Library, searchable by name, prompt and tag. Delete sounds one by one or select several at once. Deleting your account deletes all of them.

Your account

I forgot my password.+

Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page and we'll email you a link to choose a new one. If you signed up with Google or GitHub, sign in with it again instead.

How do I change my email address or delete my account?+

Email us from the address on your account. We can change your email, send you a copy of your data, or delete your account and all its sounds, which also cancels your subscription.

What happens to my prompts and sounds?+

They're yours. We don't sell data or show ads, and we don't use your prompts or sounds to train our own models. We only look at them to help you, investigate problems or abuse, and improve sound quality. The privacy policy has the details.

AI tools & API

Can I make sounds from Claude Code, Cursor or other AI tools?+

Yes, on every plan and during the free trial. In the studio, API & Tools has everything you need: the MCP server address, a Claude skill and a CLI, with setup steps for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Codex and Gemini CLI. Your AI tool can save sounds straight into your project's asset folder.

Do sounds made through the API cost more?+

No. They cost the same 1 credit each and share your plan's credits and limits.
